ICT & iPads
We in Scoil Iosagain are extremely passionate about improving our Digital Literacy throughout the school environment. It has now become part of our Curriculum and we aim to meet this curriculum needs as much as possible.
We are extremely grateful to past and present pupils who have fundraised through Fun-days and our Junior Entrepreneur programmes. Combining that with our ICT grants we have been able to build up our digital profile over the last few years.
We now have 64 iPads in operation throughout the school. This means that each class grouping has a set to share between them each day.
The iPads create unique opportunities for personal learning at every level. Lessons become more immersive through the power of touch, motion and sound. The work the pupils need to do becomes the work they love to do. The iPads enable pupils to access information, learn at their own pace, collaborate, problem solve, interact and make things. We believe that the use of iPads in the classroom is enhancing the learning experience for our pupils.
We are currently undertaking training as staff in using iPads in the classroom. The iPads are a fantastic resource and should be used to scaffold and complement teaching practices. We would like to thank you for your continued support in past, present and future fundraising events.
