Junior Infants
Active, collaborative and exploratory learning can make learning so much fun and the Junior Infants are very busy learners. Through Aistear, they are exploring all about the theme of the farm. In photo one, the children are working together to design their farm map! The children are really enjoying their literacy stations. They regularly use the iPads which are filled with phonics activities and are a great tool for consolidating their newly learned sounds.
The class are beginning their cursive writing journey and have mastered sitting properly, pencil grip and using their helping hand.. they are now working on making the letters ‘bump’ into each other to write words. World book day was enjoyed by all and the shared reading with William’s sixth class was a highlight.
