Scoil Íosagáin, Áth Fhada, provides an extensive and enthusiastic platform for the delivery of a fine musical education to its students. Along with the musical curriculum which is taught by each of the teachers up through the levels, musical education and appreciation along with singing, performance, theory and instrumentation are taught on an extra-curricular basis both before and after school hours. Many of our teachers are musically talented and play different instruments. We endeavour to develop such skills in the children.
Caitlín Lordán’s weekly Irish Traditional music class have obtained success many times over the years at various competitions and continue to perform at regular school & community events throughout the year.
